Izabela Szewczyk, a graduate of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw. She completed post-graduate studies in European law at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and Cultural management at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She has worked in various capacity in the public administration since 1998. During her professional career, among others, she was the manager in The Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the National Health Fund Headquarters and the Mazowieckie Province Office.
For several years, she also was associated with non-governmental organizations.
She has a long-standing track record of cooperation, both at the national and international level, on experience exchange and education in the field of regulations and procedures, related to issuing residence permits for foreigners in Poland (among others, in connection with work, education and science).
During her work in the Mazowieckie Province Office, she was a co-chairman of the Foreigners' Forum operating under the aegis of Mazowieckie Province Governor. The Foreigners' Forum was awarded by the Head of the Civil Service in its first edition of the "Professionals at the citizens service " competition and also published by the OECD on the global platform for public sector innovations.
