On 19 September 2022 (Monday) Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, Ministry of Education and Science and University of Warsaw invite you to the conference European Qualifications Passport for Refugees (EQPR)  – experiences in Europe, perspectives in Poland

The European Qualifications Passport for Refugees (EQPR) is a special international tool developed to assess refugee’s qualifications for which there is insufficient or missing documentation (further information in this article). The solution proved successful in such countries as France, Italy or Greece, which took in numerous refugees in the recent years. Poland joined the project with a view to use the tool to help learners and students, especially those from the territory of Ukraine, who due to armed conflict have no possibility to provide all education documents required for formal recognition procedure.

At conference on 19 September 2022 representatives of the Council of Europe will present origins and objectives of the EQPR project. They will also explain the methodology used to confirm qualifications when a refugee has no sufficient documentation of the education acquired.

Speakers from countries already experienced in the project will show examples of initiatives that enabled refugees not only to receive the EQPR document but also use it to reach their life goals: get admitted to higher education programmes or find jobs as qualified specialists. The issue of legal solutions necessary to have EQPR accepted as an evidence of qualifications in concrete situations will also be discussed.

The conference will be held in hybrid form.

On-site event will take place at the premises of University of Warsaw, Main Campus,  26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street.

It is also possible to follow the event online.

Participants on-site will be able to follow all the English-language speeches in Polish interpretation. The streaming will be held only in Polish.

Detailed conference agenda will be presented on 9 September 2022.
