Another stop of the NAWA promotional tour as part of the “Ready Study GO! Poland” campaign is Georgia. The national stand at the International Education Fair Georgia in Tbilisi on 23 and 24 February 2018 is represented by the Agency, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and representatives of sixteen Polish universities, as well as the Study in Wrocław, Study in Poznań and Study in Lublin project coordinators. The programme of the delegation included not only a direct promotion during the fair event, but also a working meeting with Georgian universities organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science in Georgia.

The day before the start of the fair, the Polish delegation participated in the “Round Table” working meeting at the invitation of the Ministry of Education and Science in Tbilisi, during which Alexander Tevzadze welcomed the Polish party in Georgia and emphasised how important for his country is the presence of foreign entities involved in building the educational offer for young people. The project was aimed at enabling Polish universities to directly consult representatives of Georgian higher education institutions, and to introduce the system of higher education in Poland and the scholarship offer of the Polish side to the hosts. Katarzyna Tyczko from the MSHE conducted a presentation on higher education in Poland, and Agnieszka Dorociak from NAWA’s Programmes for Students Department introduced the Stefan Banach scholarship programme . On the first day of the fair, the Polish stand was visited by the Polish Ambassador in Georgia, Mariusz Maszkiewicz, and the Public Diplomacy Advisor, Lech Kończak, who officially inaugurated the presence of the Polish delegation during the fair.

The International Education Fair Georgia is held regularly since 2013, and the Polish delegation participated for the fourth time. The event organized in the Expo Georgia complex is the biggest educational event in the country, visited annually by approx. 12,000 high school students and students interested in studying abroad. NAWA received a diploma of distinction for cooperation with the organiser of Expo Georgia awarded during the official gala of the fair.
