The call for applications for participation in the Scholarship Programme for the Polonia with regard to doctoral studies in the 2018/2019 academic year has been started.

The goal of the programme, which implements the objectives of the “Government programme of cooperation with the Polonia and Poles living abroad” is to improve the command of Polish and the level of qualifications in Polish communities by making it possible for young people to pursue their doctoral studies on a scholarship basis in Polish universities.

The NAWA scholarship under the programme may be applied for by persons who have a Polish Card or documented Polish origin (Polish nationality) pursuant to Article 5 of the Act of 9 November 2000 on repatriation (Journal of Laws 2018 item 609) and do not have either the Polish citizenship or a permanent residence permit in the territory of Poland and are also citizens of one of the following countries: Belarus, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Hungary, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, South American, Central American and African countries.
