NAWA cooperates with foreign academic centres of teaching Polish on the basis of international and inter-ministerial agreements. International agreements concluded by Poland on the cooperation in the field of education and culture include provisions stipulating mutual promotion, dissemination and the development of cooperation in the field of teaching languages of both Contracting Parties. Contacts and cooperation resulting from the provisions of the above mentioned agreements are established by Polish diplomatic missions.
Cooperation with and support for foreign academic centres offering education in Polish Studies or courses of the Polish language consist first of all of the provision of the Polish language teachers in accordance with the submitted demand. The Polish language teachers are sent to work abroad on the basis of the Terms and conditions of the Programme630 KB.
Teachers of Polish as a foreign language with the Master Degree in Polish Philology or in Modern Languages, graduates of post-graduate studies or specialist courses in the field of teaching Polish as a foreign language may apply for a placement in a foreign academic center. Teachers of Polish will be selected on the basis of the calls for proposals launched by NAWA. Candidates who submit their applications will be interviewed by a team of experts appointed by the Director of NAWA.
