Research and innovation hold the answers to most of Europe’s societal challenges. The lack of career stability undermines the attractiveness of research careers in Europe. Considering the pivotal role of researchers in shaping Europe’s future, the European Commission is accelerating its efforts, under the umbrella of the new European Research Area policy, to make research careers truly attractive, rewarding and stable.
Sustainable working conditions (stable pay and pension schemes), healthier working environments, opportunities to develop new skills and to move seamlessly between sectors, incentives and rewards, modernising research management are among the topics the Commission is engaged in discussing and developing together with Member States and stakeholders.
Because researchers matter, and because the time is now, take part in the discussions on 21-22 November 2023.
As the places are limited, please register below as soon as possible!
