Polish National Agency of Academic Exchange informs that successful scholarship holders were selected in the 1st call for applications in the Stanisław Ulam programme.
Scholarships of the Director of NAWA will be granted to 70 international scientists who will soon commence their research visits at Polish universities and scientific units. Successful candidates were selected from 355 applicants interested in implementing scientific visits in Poland.
Among the applications selected for funding the highest number were prepared by the scientists incoming from India (9), Germany (7), Ukraine (6), Italy (4), Czech Republic (4), Brazil (3), Great Britain (3), Turkey (3), Serbia (3). There will be also scientists coming to Poland from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Costa Rica, Egypt, Estonia, France, Greece, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Nigeria, Pakistan, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Russia, Slovenia and the USA.

The programme enables visits to Poland realised by renowned and promising scientists, holding at least a doctoral degree, who will boost academic potential of Polish host institutions and will take part in scientific activities conducted there, mainly research projects and didactics. The visits of foreign scientists in Poland can last between 6 to 24 months.
Decisions awarding or refusing financing from the Programme will be successively communicated to applicants in the NAWA ICT system.
