The representatives from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange have participated in this year’s edition of “Career days”, an event organized by the Polish network of Euraxess. Łukasz Wojdyga, the director of NAWA, presented the strategy that aims at supporting the international mobility of academic staff. On October 23, Zofia Sawicka, deputy director of NAWA, provided participants of “Career days” in Lodz with information about NAWA’s goals, mission as well as programmes that will be dedicated to scientists and researchers.
During the "career days" organized in 6 cities of Poland, young researchers learnt how to apply for research grants, how to professionally prepare application documents, and how to start working with business. The events were organized in Krakow, Gliwice, Katowice, Poznan, Lodz and Warsaw from 10 to 26 October. Young researchers have an opportunity to express their views on the career prospects by completing a survey that is available on the events’ page. Their opinions will be included in the report which will be presented to the European Commission as well as to the Polish institutions responsible for policy-making.
"The Project Researcher" is run by the Polish Euraxess network, which supports the international mobility and career of Polish scientists in Europe. The project team consists of the National Contact Point for Research Programs of the European Union (IPPT PAN), the University of Lodz, the Cracow University of Technology, the Silesian University of Technology and the Poznan Science and Technology Park and Science PR.
