  • Supporting the socio-economic growth of developing countries by raising the educational status and professional qualifications of their citizens constitutes the main aim of the Łukasiewicz Scholarship Programme. The offer constitutes a joint scholarship initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, implemented under the framework of the Polish development assistance. The scholarship provides an opportunity to undertake the second-cycle studies free of charge in the fields of exact, natural, technological, agricultural, forestry and veterinary sciences. In addition, the Programme provides its participants with an opportunity to familiarise themselves with Polish culture and language, as well as to get acquainted with the students and academic researcher at Polish HEIs.

    Ignacy Lukasiewicz, the Programme’s patron was an eminent Polish inventor, pharmacist, pioneer of the oil industry and the creator of the kerosene lamp.

    Who is the Programme addressed to?

    The programme is addressed to candidates from developing countries (with the exception of European and Central Asian Countries). The scholarship holders will be recruited primarily from the following countries: Angola, Ethiopia, the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Colombia, Lebanon, Mexico, Myanmar, Nigeria, Palestine, Peru, Republic of South Africa, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam.
