Polish Returns- - NAWA

The programme is aimed at encouraging the return of Polish scientists who will strengthen the research potential of our centres by creating conditions enabling them to start working in Polish universities or scientific units. Optimal conditions for conducting scientific research in Poland and/or development work at a global level, the remuneration corresponding to European standards and the opportunity to create a Project Group are the main assumptions of the Polish Programme. Thanks to the Programme, national universities and scientific units have an opportunity to establish cooperation with specialists who have international experience and expertise in latest research trends of their scientific discipline.

The programme is open for all applicants representing all scientific fields. The following centres which plan to employ a scientist returning from abroad may apply for the programme:

• universities,
• scientific units (research and scientific institutes of the Polish Academy of Science).  

The researcher must have been employed in foreign public or private universities or in foreign research and scientific institutes, or in research departments of foreign enterprises based outside Poland (provided that the stay was not financed from Polish budget funds) for a period of at least two years preceding the date of submitting the application.
