    Welcome to Poland!

We invite you to a country with an extraordinary tradition of freedom, tolerance and democracy - a country that created the first constitution in Europe and a union with Lithuania which is a model of integration with equal rights; a country with the DNA of peaceful cooperation, and at the same time a country which, thanks to its sovereignty regained in 1989, has become a place of dynamic economic and scientific development and a leader in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.

Courses are held in the onsite and online mode in July and August and last 2, 3 or 4 weeks. They are organized by the Polish universities with leading Centers of teaching Polish as a foreign language and having NAWA’s accreditation. The courses include:

    • lessons of Polish language
    • trips to top tourist attractions
    • integrational events – also games, contests, projects
    • workshops and lectures on Polish culture, history, habits, art, everyday life
    • meeting with Poles – students, university representatives, politicians, businessmen, scholars.

The courses - including all activities related to them, as well as (in the case of on-site courses) accommodation and meals - are free of charge. Participants cover only the cost of travel to – and from - Poland, as well as the cost of medical insurance, including possible costs of transport to the country of residence. This insurance is obligatory, but it does not have to be purchased if the country of citizenship of the course participant has signed appropriate agreements with Poland.

The course program is very rich, attractive and interactive. In the case of on-site course for students and academic teachers, it includes at least (but the universities often give more):

15 class hours a week of basic Polish language classes in groups at appropriate levels

10 class hours a week of additional classes, including:

    • lectures on Polish history and culture,
    • integration events,
    • workshops,
    • cultural outings,

One trip per week outside the city where the course takes place,

Teaching materials – including at least one textbook or script.

Detailed information regarding accommodation and meals and other types of courses can be found in the attachment.
