The Department for Academic Recognition NAWA kindly informs,
that in order to ensure timely processing of
applications for individual recognition statement on a foreign diploma,
from May 2026, every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. the telephone duty has been lunched at 532 755 629.

• If you seek for recognition of your certificate of secondary education obtained outside Poland - please follow information at the website https://nawa.gov.pl/en/recognition/recognition-for-academic-purposes/applying-for-admission-to-first-long-cycle-studiesand contact the authorized institution.
• Nostrification procedure is beyond the competence of the National Agency for Academic Exchange. The nostrification procedure may be conducted by an institution having a required scientific category in the discipline to which the foreign diploma relates. Details concerning the procedure can be found here: https://nawa.gov.pl/en/recognition/legal-framework-for-recognition.

• The recognition statement on a foreign diploma:
  • general – you can generate automatically in the system KWALIFIKATOR https://kwalifikator.nawa.gov.pl/;
  • individual – you can obtain from NAWA after submitting the application with all required documents via the SYRENA System https://nawa.gov.pl/en/recognition/how-to-obtain-a-recognition-statement.
    • recognition statements are issued in the order in which the complete set of documents is received, in the shortets possible time.
    • the status of the application submitted via the SYRENA System - according to the user manual - can be checked independently in the system. 
      We do not inform about the status of the application by e-mail.
