We are launching a new call for applications in the Bekker NAWA Programme. You can now join nearly 1,000 fellows in 46 countries around the world.

Thanks to the Bekker NAWA Programme, researchers from Polish scientific and academic institutions have the opportunity to undertake postdoctoral fellowships or carry out research projects in cooperation with scientists from around the world. Doctoral candidates may also participate by completing part of their doctoral education abroad or collecting materials for their research. The programme also enables participants to establish cooperation and build contacts with outstanding international researchers and research teams.

The community of programme beneficiaries continues to grow every year, and the list of research centres where fellows can carry out their projects is also expanding. So far, 996 people have benefited from the programme across eight editions.

In last year’s edition, the most frequently chosen host institutions included the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The most strongly represented disciplines traditionally include natural sciences, engineering and technology, medical sciences, and agricultural sciences.

In this edition, projects may start between 1 March and 1 October 2027.

Applications can be submitted until 29 May 2026 at 3:00 pm (Polish time) via the NAWA ICT system: https://programs.nawa.gov.pl/login 

Applications must be prepared entirely in English.
