We have opened a call for Joint Research Projects carried out by Polish and German research teams. The programme aims to support the mobility of researchers cooperating with foreign institutions.
The call for applications is organized by NAWA in collaboration with the German organization DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst). Scientific institutions and universities are invited to apply. This program exclusively supports researcher mobility funding between Poland and Germany, open to representatives from all scientific disciplines.
The deadline for applications is June 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. local time in Warsaw (CET).
Detailed information can be found in the announcement of the call for applications.
Competitions under the Joint Research Projects programme are based on bilateral agreements between countries. Their main goal is to facilitate the mobility of researchers conducting joint research projects agreed upon by authorized institutions from both countries.
This programme covers all fields of science, but individual countries may indicate priority areas for a given call for applications. The differences between competitions also result from the individually established criteria for evaluating applications. A common feature of all editions is the priority given to projects involving young Polish researchers and supporting cooperation with the socio-economic environment.
Applications may be submitted by entities specified in Article 7(1)(1-8) of the Act on NAWA, in cooperation with an institution from a partner country. Each application must be submitted simultaneously – by the Polish party to NAWA and by the foreign party to the partner institution – in this case to DAAD. After mutual arrangements of both organizations, the final list of beneficiaries will be announced. The maximum amount of funding per project is PLN 30,000 and can only be used for the mobility of researchers.
Applications will be subjected to a substantive evaluation by NAWA experts. The following will be taken into account: the scientific value of the project, the methodology applied, the qualifications of the research teams, the importance of the cooperation and the possibility of its continuation. It is possible to obtain additional points for fulfilling specific criteria.
