Check the status of your application in the SYRENA system, use the ORKA chatbot, and learn about the current contact options available at NAWA’s Bureau for Recognition of Education.
NAWA’s Office for Recognition of Education is expanding the ways in which it provides support. The aim of these changes is to make it easier to access up-to-date information and to improve the process of responding to applicants’ questions.
Application status
People who have submitted an application for information via the SYRENA system can check its status after logging into their account. The system provides up-to-date information on the stage of case processing.
We would like to remind applicants of this option, as questions about application status are among the most frequently submitted to NAWA. Using the information available directly in the SYRENA system makes it possible to obtain an answer more quickly.
ORKA chatbot
The ORKA chatbot has been made available on the pages of the Office for Recognition of Education. ORKA is an AI assistant that helps users find information on the recognition of education, apostille, and document legalisation.
The tool supports people looking for information on document authentication and legalisation procedures, submitting applications for the recognition of foreign education in Poland, and matters handled by the Bureau for Recognition of Education. It may also help users find answers to frequently asked questions.
ORKA operates in Polish and English. The chatbot can be used at any time and from any location with internet access.
The solution was implemented under Measure 01.05 “Skills in higher education” of the European Funds for Social Development programme, as part of the project “NAWA Evaluator Academy – improving the recognition of education in higher education and science institutions”.
Contact regarding foreign diplomas and certificates
Please send questions concerning the issuing of information on foreign diplomas and certificates to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
There is no need to send the same questions to other NAWA addresses. Sending correspondence directly to the appropriate address makes it easier to process and allows the matter to be forwarded more efficiently to the relevant team.
Resumption of telephone duty hours
The Bureau for Recognition of Education is resuming telephone duty hours. They will be held every Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00 at +48 532 755 629.
During the duty hours, it will be possible to obtain general information on recognition matters and cases handled by the Bureau for Recognition of Education.
For questions that require document analysis or refer to a specific application, please use the SYRENA system or contact us by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Due to the large number of cases handled by the Bureau for Recognition of Education, we kindly ask you to first read the information available on the website, use the ORKA chatbot and, if necessary, send your question by email before using the telephone duty hours.
