  • The University of Latvia and the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis invite postdoctoral researchers and prospective supervisors to join a webinar titled “Experience Stories – MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships.” The session will take place online on April 29, 10:00-11:00 CEST.

    During the event, Dr. Vladislav Ivanistsev will share insights on:
    ​1) preparing a competitive MSCA PF application and successfully implementing the funded project;
    ​2) the role of the supervisor;
    ​3) how to effectively match with a postdoctoral researcher or supervisor;
    ​4) the benefits of undertaking an MSCA PF abroad and pathways for returning to Latvia;
    ​5) opportunities offered by the MSCA Alumni Association.

    Vladislav Ivanistsev is a tenured Professor of Chemistry at the Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences, University of Latvia. From 2021 to 2023, he held a Marie Skłodowska–Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF) at the University of Copenhagen, where he received training in MSCA-relevant areas, including proposal writing and supervision. Since 2024, he has been advising MSCA PF applicants, successfully supervising two MSCA PF and three ERA Fellowships projects, with several applications awarded the Seal of Excellence. Since 2026, he is serving as Chair of the Baltic States Chapter of the MSCA Alumni Association.
