Deadline of applying for scholarships for the Polonia has been extended - NAWA

As part of the call for applications for participation in the Scholarships for the Polish diaspora, NAWA extended the deadline of sending applications to 27 July, 15.00. The Programme allows young people of Polish origin and those who hold a Polish Card to start studying in Poland and improve their command of Polish. The scholars can study free of charge and receive a monthly scholarship of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange to cover their maintenance costs. 

According to the global estimates, about 18-20 million Poles and persons of Polish origin live currently outside Poland. By providing the above-mentioned opportunities, the Scholarship Programme for the Polonia contributes to strengthening ties of the young generation with Poland.

Who is the programme directed to?

To young people of Polish origin from the following countries: Belarus, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Hungary, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, South American, Central American and African countries, meeting the following requirements:

  • up to two years of the completion of the first cycle degree programme,
  • having a Polish Card or Polish origin,
  • not having either the Polish citizenship or a permanent residence permit in the territory of Poland

Detailed information about the Programme are provided here. The announcement of results of the call for applications shall take place by 28 September 2018.

The candidates are recruited online only - submit your application for participation in the Programme.
