On December 17th, 2024, Krakow will host a national conference titled EURAXESS – Developing Institutional Potential for Welcoming International Rresearchers, organised by NAWA in collaboration with the International Relations Offices Forum and the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. The event is a part of the Internationalisation Days series and creates another opportunity to further discussing the internationalisation of science and higher education in Poland, with special focus on the Polish institutions’ potential for welcoming researchers and PhD candidates from abroad.
The event will feature presentations of national and international experts, as well as representatives of Polish universities and institutes – members of the EURAXESS network. The Conference is a great occassion for the Polish community to learn about the benefits of the EURAXESS membership, good practices implemented in Poland and in other European countries, as well as to discuss available funding for initiatives addressing incoming researchers and their families.
Main goals of the event:
- presenting benefits stemming from the membership in EURAXESS,
- discussing best practices of EURAXESS member institutions,
- introducing funding sources for initiatives addressing international researchers,
- drafting recommendations for the internationalisation strategy of the science and higher education in Poland.
We invite representatives of Polish scientific institutions and other stakeholders involved in supporting international researchers, including PhD candidates.
The event will be held mostly in the Polish language with only a few presentations in English.
