A special application track for scientists with the MSCA Seal of Excellence certificate has been launched under the Ulam NAWA programme.

The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange continues to recognise the Seal of Excellence certificate under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowships programme.

A special application track for scientists who have obtained the certificate has been launched under the Ulam NAWA 2021 programme (the Ulam Programme). An application under the Programme is submitted individually by a scientist with at least a doctoral degree or an equivalent degree obtained abroad who, together with a Polish higher education or scientific institution, has obtained the Seal of Excellence certificate under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowships programme, 2020 edition. NAWA recognises the SoE certificate as a binding verification of the quality of the application.

The Seal of Excellence certifies the high quality of a research project. It is awarded to entities that met the MSCA evaluation criteria but could not be funded from the programme’s current budget.

The European Commission encouraged the countries that participate in MSCA and other Horizon 2020 Framework Programme calls to help proposals awarded the Seal of Excellence gain funding from other national public and private sources. Several countries have already implemented this solution for MSCA, including Czechia, Lithuania, and Italy. Similar solutions are provided under the Horizon Europe programme.
